Queen Elizabeth 90th Birthday Celebration With Royal Family At St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Celebration is underway of the Official (90th) Birthday of the Monarch, Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II and in celebration of Prince Consort, Philip‘s 95th birthday. There was a national Service of Thanksgiving in Her Majesty and Prince Consort’s honour at St. Paul’s Cathedral on June 19th, 2016.

The service was led by Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, with Sir David Attenborough as well as the UK Prime Minister David Cameron as speakers.

The Queen’s actual date of birth is April 21, 1926 however due to long-standing tradition, there is an official date of celebration of the birthday of the standing monarch. This year that date is June 11, 2016. Since the reign of Edward VII, who was born in November, the parade Trooping the Colour, takes place during a more temperate season.
