The Lux Helsinki is a cultural event taking place from January 5 to January 9, 2017. Classified a Light Festival, installations and performances have been scheduled all over the city center with venues at Ateneum Art Museum, Yliopistokatu, Esplanade Park Stage, Vanha kirkkopuisto, Annantalo, Erottaja Paviljonki & more with light installations from artists in Europe and Scandinavia. Street food will be featured at different settings on Senate Square & Annankatu from The Alexanders, Soi Soi, Kimchi Wagon, Café Citikka & Thai Papaya. Restaurants and cafés have also participated such as Savotta, Fransmanni, Grand Grill, Bryggeri Helsinki Toscanini at Klaus K Hotel & Bar Loose. These venues have featured DJ’s from Radio Helsinki playing great music.
Light displays will be shown from 5:00 – 10:00 PM.
The Artistic Director for 2017 is Ilkka Paloniemi and the Technical Director is Matti Jykylä. The event is organised by the City Of Helsinki. Produced by Sun Effects.
