“Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” Leaves You Wanting More

In a cast headed by two time Oscar nominated and winner for best actor for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything (2014) Eddie Redmayne as the hero Newt Scamander appears at home in this fantasy jaunt into the wizarding world, transported to the United States. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a period piece set in 1926, yet thoroughly modern.

Katherine Waterston plays Porpentina Goldstein, a demoted Auror who is the quintessential heroine, with her sister Queenie Goldstein, played by Alison Sudol charming us with her Marilyn Monroe cum – New Yawker grace. Dan Folger as Jacob Kowalski is very endearing. I think we can expect to see a lot more in the coming future from Ezra Miller who played Credance Barebone, fine acting from this young man. Colin Farrell as Percival Graves and Carmen Ejogo as Seraphina Picquery, president of MACUSA are really strong as well. There’s a very good supporting cast with some surprises.

I shed a few tears and smiled through out. JK Rowling is a genius and director David Yates is deftly competent at this magical sort of film making. I know we’ll be watching this film many times over in the coming years and looking forward to more of Newt Scamander‘s adventures.
