The concierge that was held at gunpoint and directed to lead 5 masked & armed robbers to the residence of entrepreneur/reality star Kim Kardashian West in a luxury hotel in Paris, Hôtel de Pourtalès on October 3, 2016, has done an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail about the security lapses at the high end establishment. The concierge, whom went only by the name Abdulrahman, was quoted to be an “‘exemplary’ staff member for years with an unblemished record”.
It is reported that the security code for entrance into the residence had not been changed in 6 years and that presently, two weeks after the jewel heist that left Ms Kardashian West badly shaken, the code remained the same.
Mr Abdulrahman has stated that he warned the management of the establishment that guests were vulnerable due to the lack of security. The Hôtel de Pourtalès chose to: Not use CCTV for high discretion; nothing was locked; a staff of a concierge and a single security guard were employed on a recent visit; the early morning that Ms Kardashian West was arm robbed, concierge Mr Abdulrahman was the lone staff member, while Ms Kardashian West’s personal body guard, Pascal Duvier, was guarding her sisters on a night out.
